From July 1940 the Luftwaffe attacked shipping convoys in the channel and Radar stations along the south coast. AttentionRockfall Mission 2 In early August, the German invasion force is assembled on the French coast and air raids on England are being increased in size and number. No Fire Alarms Here Mission 3 To keep up the pressure on the British, the Nazi High Command authorise night-time raids to prevent essential repairs to the RAF fighters. During these raids civilian areas of London are hit, prompting the British Government to bomb Berlin. Mission 4 Enraged by the attacks on Berlin and the lack of success in crippling the RAF, Hitler orders a change of target. By destroying cities and industrial area he hoped to break the British moral, and if RAF Forces gathered in large numbers to defend the cities the Luftwaffe would be able to destroy large numbers of fighters thereby gaining the air superiority they needed.
